Tucked away in 3.5 hectares of orchard, meadow, and parkland in the heart of the Haute-Pyrénées, Maison de Haouret is a place to pause, breathe deeply, and enjoy the simple pleasures of rural life.

We believe that true inner peace comes from a gentler rhythm — from good food, quiet moments, and the feeling of space around you. Here, days unfold gently: mornings filled with the scent of homemade bread, fresh jams, and fruit gathered from the orchard. Join us for dinner, using vegetables picked in our potager, ingredients from local producers and a glass of wine from local vineyards, every meal tells a story of provenance, vitality and a true connection with the land.

A place to reconnect

Maison de Haouret is a true countryside escape — a haven for wildlife and a peaceful spot to unwind. You might spot deer at the edge of the field, hares darting across the grass, or see birds of prey circling above. At night, the stars take centre stage; being on the edge of the Pic du Midi International Starry Sky Reserve (RICE) means the sky is wonderfully dark. Lie back by the pool on a clear night, and you’ll see the Milky Way stretch overhead.

Exploring the area

Nearby villages — Castelnau Magnoac, Galan, and Trie-sur-Baïse — are full of charm, with local bakeries, small restaurants, and lively weekly markets. The Pyrénées are close by for scenic walks, cycle rides, or winter adventures, and if you fancy a change of scene, the Atlantic coast and the surf town of Biarritz are only two hours away.
